Heritage Statements are usually required as part of applications relating to listed buildings, conservation areas or non-designated heritage assets. As part of our heritage statement writing process we will undertake extensive historical research of the building and surrounding area, including looking at archives, historic maps and directories to assess the significance of the heritage asset.  

Once the significance of the heritage asset has been clearly set out we will then consider the impact of the proposals on the significance of the heritage assets and set out our arguments in support of the proposals.
